Most EV charging asks drivers to think about apps, accounts, rates, and whether the station will work. Standard Charging is built around a simpler public experience: arrive at a useful local destination, plug in, and spend the stop enjoying the place around the charger.
The business model is sponsor-supported because the charging stop itself can create value. Hosts gain a better visitor amenity, sponsors earn real-world visibility, and drivers get a cleaner reason to stop at local businesses instead of treating charging like a chore.
This approach starts carefully in Oregon, with Albany and nearby Willamette Valley communities as the first practical focus. The goal is not to make exaggerated infrastructure promises; it is to build useful charging stops, report transparently, and reinvest as the network grows.
