Effective June 22, 2026. Anonymous-by-default at every charger. No driver data sold. Clear choices before optional analytics or advertising cookies are enabled.
This privacy policy explains how Standard Charging LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit standardchargingllc.com, contact us, submit an interest or support form, or use a Standard Charging public EV charging location.
Standard Charging LLC is based in Oregon. We are building sponsor-supported public EV charging with a privacy-first operating model: useful operational reporting, no sale of driver data, and no unnecessary individual tracking.
Our intended charger operations are anonymous-by-default. For operation, maintenance, uptime, sponsor reporting, and safety, we may collect charger ID, connector ID, session start and stop time, energy delivered in kWh, charging duration, charger status, error or fault codes, and maintenance notes.
We do not intentionally collect license plates, faces, driver names, phone numbers, email addresses, Bluetooth identifiers, Wi-Fi MAC addresses, or other information designed to identify a driver at the charger. We do not use automatic license plate recognition or facial recognition at Standard Charging locations.
When you visit the website, basic hosting logs may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page, date, and time. This helps keep the site secure, troubleshoot issues, and understand general site performance.
If you submit a form, email us, request support, suggest a location, apply to host, or apply to sponsor, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as name, email, phone number, company, property details, support details, message content, and any files or photos you submit.
We currently design the site to run without non-essential tracking cookies. Essential storage may be used for site functionality, security, form handling, or remembering privacy choices. Google Search Console does not place tracking cookies on our website; it reports how Google Search results perform.
If we later enable analytics, advertising, remarketing, heatmap, or similar tools, we will use the site consent controls to give visitors a clear choice before optional analytics or marketing storage is activated where required. You can also use browser controls to block or delete cookies.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, forms, email, hosting, document storage, support workflows, chargers, maintenance, analytics, security, or business operations. These providers are expected to use information only to provide services to Standard Charging.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information with hosts, sponsors, partners, or the public, such as total charging sessions, estimated kWh delivered, uptime, public launch updates, or community impact summaries. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or legal interests.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the service, responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, improving reliability, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Aggregated or de-identified operational data may be retained longer for reporting and planning.
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information you provided to us by emailing privacy@standardchargingllc.com. Oregon residents may have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, including rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of certain processing.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will respond to verifiable privacy requests as required by applicable law. We may need enough information to verify and process your request.
Our website and charging services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, email system, charging network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may update this policy as our website, charger operations, analytics, products, partners, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will show when the policy was last updated.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@standardchargingllc.com or cam@standardchargingllc.com.
This policy is operational guidance for Standard Charging's current public site and planned charger operations. It should be reviewed by counsel as the company adds analytics, advertising, payment processing, connected charger vendors, or broader state coverage.
